What was left of the Elin Nordegren mansion after it was bulldozed.
Earlier, I wrote here about how the ex-wife of Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren, bulldozed a $12 million mansion in Florida.
Elin Nordegren Tears Down $12-million House
But more than just post-divorce depression, Elin had a good reason for tearing down the mansion that was built in the 1920s–termites. Additionally, the house did not meet current hurricane safety regulations. Well, those are two good reasons. Termite control for such a big house could really be expensive. But if the house was in that bad condition, was it still worth $12 million? Elin should have gotten a good discount for it.
Anyway, it seems that Elin did actually like the original look of the the old house that she may be having something similar done.
Well, we should not really hastily judge how a person acts and reacts just because it entails expense. Sometimes, there is a good reason for it. I would have probably done it myself. But for sure those people who are onto eddie bauer coupons cannot afford that. LOL
And by the way, Nordegren did offer the materials form the old house to a local Habitat for Humanity chapter before the demolition. How the Habitat will work on termite-infested materials is beyond me. But at least, she did not waste the old house.
By the way, here is the picture of the Elin Nordegren mansion before it was torn down. It had to be an aerial shot because it was just sooooo huge! But you would wonder what Tiger Woods is thinking right now.

The $12 million mansion that Elin Nordegren bought and tore down.
At first thought, any person can be judgemental because it’s worth $12million. That amount can help a lot of lives
. But, after reading, it’s worth it and understand. I agree, I would demolished the house if it is eaten by termites and saved good wood.
exactly! thanks lisa. :d
What a bad case of the bugs dont you think?
