One interesting aspect of the law is one that covers medical malpractice. In my hometown, I heard from the grapevine that there was a couple who are both doctors and who delivered a child. Rumors say that when the wife pulled the baby, the head was severed from the body! Horrendous!
The case was settled out of court because the patients were poor and needed money more than another child. Or so I was told. So anyway, they accepted the money from these doctors in exchange for their secrecy. But of course, we know that there is really nothing secret like this and so the word spread. The doctor couple were forced to leave town and settle elsewhere and it is really sad.
